The National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) on Thursday (6/7) imposed the first penalty for clues of infringement of the General Law on the Protection of Personal Data (LGPD). A telecommunications micro-company received a warning and a total fine of R$ 14,400.
The fine was imposed for the absence of a data processing officer and failure to comply with the ANPD’s supervisory duties and the cases in which the processing of personal data is permitted under the law.
The application of penalties by the ANPD was regulated in February and the first fine was imposed in July, with the prospect of further penalties. Is your company fully compliant with the legislation? Ronaldo Martins can analyze and certify your compliance.
